Hi! :)

Well, since it’s July and I finished all the tests, I think is a good time to finish the Charlie Challenge!!!

So I finally recorded myself singing one of my favorite songs. I chose this song (“Downton” by Petula Clark) because YM&C is like “my downtown”. I apologize in advance for my pronunciation and my squeaky voice :S

Day 29: Time to build a fort! Take a photo from the inside.

It took me an hour to build my FIRST fort and it was SOOOOOO much fun!!! :)
I tried to make it invisible but I couldn’t make it so I had to destroy it, because my mum was about to arrive at home and the rest of my room was a TOTAL mess.
It wasn’t the best fort ever, but it was my first fort, confortable for an only child :P
In the future I have to build more forts, bigger and better!!! It’s super fun!!!

I colored a leaf. I wanted it to look like a feather but I’m not good with the brush … hahahaha.

Why a feather??? Well, feathers tickle you, tickling make you laugh (and sometimes pee your pants) and I’m always trying to make people laugh :)

And why a leaf? It reminds me that I’m just a part of the great tree that someday I can be.

Day 15: What is your biggest fear? Turn it into the villain in your next story, give it a name, draw a picture of it…what would it wear? What would its voice sound like?

My biggest fear is to disappoint those who love me.

My villain is called “Ciona”.
Ciona is an invisible woman full of confident who doesn’t speak. She is super clever and super stylish. Well, the body appearence is pure imagination because I never seen her. But it is the way I imagine her because of how she smell and how her footsteps attach firmly the ground.

I don’t know well if she’s rich or a belly dancer but every time she moves, a handful of coins greets my hearing. I guess that it’s the money she earns for torturing their victims. How she tortures her victims? With her secret weapon: her mind.
She creeps into your mind. She settles in the weakest chink of your mind and makes you think that you’re not good enough for this or that.She makes you think, and even worst, she makes you feel that you are going to fail and you will not meet expectations. Ciona makes you feel that in any point of the trip, you are going to screw it up and disappoint someone who loves you. And we all know to be disappointed is one of the worst feelings.

Here is one of my favorite poems: “Muere lentamente”

The authorship of the poem was erroneously attributed to Pablo Neruda but this poem was written by Martha Medeiros, a Brazilian writer.

I recited it in Spanish (you probably have to turn up the volume on your computer).

The translation would be something like…

He who does not travel,
who does not read,
who does not listen to music,
who does not find grace in himself, dies slowly.

He who slowly destroys his own self-esteem,
who does not allow himself to be helped.

He who becomes the slave of habit,
who follows the same routes every day,
who never changes pace,
who does not risk and change the color of his clothes,
who does not talk with strangers, dies slowly.

He or she who shuns passion,
and the bundle of emotions,
the kind that make your eyes glimmer,
that make the heart pound, dies slowly.
